Pacific Rim Uprising smashes onto Blu-ray this week, and we have an exclusive deleted scene from the monster-sized sequel. Watch the Pacific Rim Uprising deleted scene, and learn more details about the Blu-ray release, below.

Pacific Rim Uprising Deleted Scene

Pacific Rim Uprising is set 10 years after Guillermo del Toro's original film, and finds humanity banding together once again to take on monstrous Kaiju with the aid of big, ass-kicking robots. In this extended deleted scene, we see moments between Adria Arjona, Cailee Spaeny, John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, and Burn Gorman as they walk through their base; we also learn a bit more about Gorman's character's mysterious past.

Audiences seemed divided on Uprising. Some loved its blockbuster action, while others pined for something more similar to Guillermo del Toro's original. Reviewing the movie for /Film, Ethan Anderton wrote:

Pacific Rim Uprising isn't meant to be this groundbreaking piece of cinema, and the action is off the charts crazy as hell. But it's on par with the insanity of the Fast and Furious franchise, with the scale of a Transformers movie, but the endless fun of a Saturday morning cartoon that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's mindless without being stupid, and it's loyal to what came before while also branching out into thoroughly entertaining new territory.

Pacific Rim Uprising is now available on digital, and will hit 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray & DVD on June 19, 2018. Full details about the Blu-ray release are available below.

In Pacific Rim Uprising directed by Steven S. DeKnight, John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous Kaiju. Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through our cities and bring the world to its knees, he is given one last chance to live up to his father's legacy. Jake is joined by gifted rival pilot Lambert (The Fate of the Furious' Scott Eastwood), 15-year-old Jaeger hacker Amara (newcomer Cailee Spaeny), returning veterans Charlie Day ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), Rinko Kikuchi (Pacific Rim), Burn Gorman (The Dark Knight Rises) and a talented crew of fiercely young cadets. The international cast also includes Tian Jing (Kong: Skull Island) and Adria Arjona ("Emerald City"). Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.
