New 'Frozen' Short Called 'Frozen Fever' Coming Spring 2015

The ABC special The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic is airing right now on the east coast of the US, and the show features a big announcement. The spring of 2015 will see the release of a new Frozen short called Frozen Fever. The short film will be directed by returning directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and will feature the core characters Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf. The short will also come complete with a new song from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

More details on the new Frozen short are after the jump.

The story as released by Disney is:

In 'Frozen Fever,' it's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.

So it's not a sequel, exactly, but for those who wanted something more than the making-of special, the books, the upcoming Disney on Ice performances, the new Sing-Along Blu and DVD, and the appearance on Once Upon a Time, this should be great news. [via Deadline]
