Variety broke the news of the MST3K streaming deal. According to their story, besides the 80 episodes that are on there now, at least a dozen new episodes are just waiting to be cleared for the service.

Unfortunately, the episodes aren't free. You can purchase all 80 episodes for $300, which is a savings considering each episode is $2.99 to rent and $9.99 to purchase. In all, there are almost 200 total episodes of the cult comedy series.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 hit the air in 1988. Comedy Central most famously aired the show for seven seasons before it moved to the Sci-Fi Channel. It was then made into its own movie in 1996 before going off the air in 1999. The premise featured two robots and a man, played by different actors over the years, stranded on a space station and forced to watch terrible movies. Their silhouettes were superimposed on the screen as they wisecracked about how bad each film was.

Basically, it became a cult sensation because the characters did what friends do when they watch a bad movie: make fun of it. Odds are though, Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo were funnier than your friends.

At the moment, some episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 are available on certain streaming services but this is by far the most comprehensive collection yet online. Here's the trailer from Vimeo, and you can click here to get all the episodes.
