Kylo Ren Coming To Disneyland And Disney World

Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has become a global phenomenon, Disney is planning to add more new characters from Episode VII into the parks. The opening of Star Wars Launch Bay saw First Order Stormtroopers roaming Tomorrowland while Darth Vader and Chewbacca were given dedicated meet-and-greets (with Boba Fett making special appearances).

But now it looks like Adam Driver's character Kylo Ren will be coming to Disneyland in his quest to find Luke Skywalker. Hit the jump to learn more about the Kylo Ren Disneyland costumed character, and which other Force Awakens characters could join him next.

Disney Parks has announced that Kylo Ren will soon be coming to Disneyland and Disney World's Hollywood Studios:

Every day at Disney Parks, you can step into exciting Star Wars experiences such as Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, "Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple" and Star Wars Launch Bay, where you can come face to face with some of the greatest heroes and villains of the saga. Soon, a visit to Star Wars Launch Bay at either Disneyland park or Disney's Hollywood Studios will transport you to the Star Wars galaxy for an encounter with Kylo Ren on the bridge of his First Order Star Destroyer.

The new "portal from Star Wars Launch Bay to Kylo Ren's Star Destroyer" will open at Disneyland park and at Disney World's Hollywood Studios sometime in February 2016. We've heard rumors that Captain Phasma might be added in the future — the costumed character has been making appearances on the Disney Cruise Ships. Both Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma were seen on Disney Parks' Rose parade float and I assume the in-park costumes will be similar:

Its cool to meet Chewbacca in "the Resistance Base" but I'd love to meet some more of the new characters. Personally I'd love it if they brought a droid meet and greet to the park featuring BB-8, R2-D2 and C-3PO (with his red arm from Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
