It's pretty much a given that an anthology film will suffer from some unevenness. Even the best and most consistent examples of the format have some segments that stand out more than others. It's hard to tell from this trailer which will be the highlights of Holidays, since all we get short snippets of all the different films mixed up together into one big jumble. But there's definitely some intriguing imagery here, and it's enough to make Holidays seem worth a shot.
Holidays will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 14, followed by a global day-and-date release starting April 15 and then a U.S. theatrical release on April 22. Ironically, that means it's not actually opening near any major holidays at all — not even Easter, which falls in late March this year.
