John Boyega And Daisy Ridley Watch The New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Trailer And React Accordingly

No one seems to be more psyched for Star Wars: The Force Awakens than stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, who have frequently made their enthusiasm apparent on social media. However, their excitement over actually getting to be in a Star Wars movie has officially reached peak-adorableness. Both of them saw the new trailer at the same time we did last night, and both of them had friends on hand to take video of their reactions. Between the two of them, you can see just about every positive emotion known to humankind in the space of two Instagram videos.

Watch their Star Wars reaction videos for yourself after the jump!

Each video is the ultimate encapsulation of a specific kind of fan reaction. Let's start with Boyega, who plays the rogue Stormtrooper turned good guy Finn in The Force Awakens. His response to the trailer is unbridled enthusiasm and that final shot of him wielding a lightsaber and facing down Adam Driver's Kylo Ren literally causes him to scream and lose his seat. His excitement is contagious, so be careful: you may find yourself watching this on a continuous loop.

Ridley, who plays the mysterious desert scavenger Rey, has a very different reaction. In bed and watching on an iPhone, her reaction shifts from awe, to slightly embarrassed (whenever her character speaks, of course), to actual, full-blown tears. Some Star Wars fans express their excitement by rolling off couches. Others pull the covers up to their chin and wipe away the tears.

Although they are both relative unknowns right now, The Force Awakens is going to put both Boyega and Ridley on the map in a big, huge, crazy way. More people are going to see Boyega's performance in Star Wars during day one of release than have watched him earn his potential superstardom in Attack the Block in the four years since it has been released. Ridley is less proven, as she was plucked out of relative obscurity for this part. No pressure, right?

Anyway, you really, really should see Attack the Block. It's great and it'll make you a believer in John Boyega. Trust.

The Star Wars saga has always filled its ranks with relative newcomers and unknowns. Harrison Ford wasn't a star when he was cast as Han Solo and Mark Hamill had been toiling away on television for seven years before he landed the part of Luke Skywalker. And look where they ended up! At the same time, later movies in the series took a chances on Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen and we all know how that turned out.

Still, if there's one thing director J.J. Abrams does better than anyone else in the film industry, it's casting. No one has a better eye for actors. Boyega and Ridley are going to be just fine when Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18, 2015. Now get back to over-analyzing that trailer. The mysteries of this movie won't solve themselves.
