Lonely Island Movie Coming In Summer 2016

Briefly: Pack your bags for a trip to the Lonely Island next summer. Universal has set June 3, 2016 as the Lonely Island movie release date. Andy Samberg leads the cast as Conner, a rapper whose latest career setback forces him to reunite with his old boy band. Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer also star and will direct. The new date pits the Lonely Island boys against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel and the romantic drama Me Before You.

Also starring are Tim Meadows as Conner's "upbeat and overworked" manager and Sarah Silverman as Conner's "sharp and sarcastic" publicist. Judd Apatow is producing. The film was previously referred to as Conner4real but was called the Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie in Universal's latest notice. [Deadline]
