'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Has A Post-Credit Easter Egg After All [UPDATED]

UPDATE: The initial release wasn't clear, it has nothing to do with the X-Men trailer. Story has been updated.UPDATE 2: The images have been revealed.

When The Amazing Spider-Man 2 screened for press in Los Angeles last week, there was no scene at the end of the credits. Even if there was, though, we wouldn't have unlocked the true secret because we didn't know the key. Now you do.

Sony tells us that when the film opens in U.S. theaters Thursday night, fans will be able to Shazam the credit sequence featuring the song "It's on Again" by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar to "unlock a look into the sinister future."

Here's the official statement from Sony:

After seeing THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 – opening on May 2nd - be sure to Shazam the end credit sequence featuring the song "It's on Again" by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar to unlock a look into the sinister future.  Download @Shazam on iTunes or GooglePlay. #SpiderMan

Shazam, of course, is an app that lets you find out what a song is just by listening to it. Here's a link to the iPhone version and Android version.

What will that reveal? I guess we'll find out Thursday night when the first fans do it. Check back Friday for the answer.

UPDATE 2: ComingSoon had the genius idea that, if all they had to do was Shazam an Alicia Keys song, that Alicia Keys song is already out and did just that. The images appears to be from the end credits of the film and reveal the six members of the Sinister Six.
