'Under The Skin' Trailers: Scarlett Johansson Is An Alien On Earth
The arrival of the gorgeous Neil Kellerhouse-designed poster (above) for Jonathan Glazer's film Under the Skin heralded the arrival of a new trailer, which you can now see below. In fact there are two new trailers, a US edit, and a UK version, for the film in which Scarlett Johansson plays an alien who has taken human form in order to hunt her prey: men.
We've covered the film for ages, and it is finally about to see release in the US. These trailers are just as seductive as the other footage we've seen from the film — this isn't a big effects-filled piece of sci-fi, but something a little more strange and possibly unique.
Here's the new US trailer:
And there's also a new UK spot:
Under the Skin finally starts its US run on April 4th in NYC and LA, and will expand afterward.
From visionary director Jonathan Glazer (SEXY BEAST, BIRTH) comes a stunning career transformation, a masterpiece of existential science fiction that journeys to the heart of what it means to be human, extraterrestrial — or something in between. A voluptuous woman of unknown origin (Scarlett Johansson) combs the highways in search of isolated or forsaken men, luring this succession of lost souls into an otherworldly lair. They are seduced, stripped of their humanity, and never heard from again. Based on the novel by Michel Faber (The Crimson Petal and the White), UNDER THE SKIN examines human experience from the perspective of an unforgettable heroine who grows too comfortable in her borrowed skin, until she is abducted into humanity with devastating results.
