Which Movies Will Have Commercials During Super Bowl XLVIII?

For movie fans who don't like football, the Super Bowl is basically a night of trailer premieres. Studios spend millions of dollars ($4 million per 30 seconds to be exact) to debut commercials for their upcoming blockbusters. Usually, those commercials debut brand new footage. Looking at the 2014 release schedule, there are tons of films with Super Bowl potential but the final list of films with Super Bowl commitments has now been revealed. Read about it below.

According to Variety, here are the films getting commercials during Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday, February 2.

  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  • Need for Speed
  • Muppets Most Wanted
  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  • Transformers: Age of Extinction
  • Draft Day (during pregame)
  • Films that were rumored but are not appearing include Godzilla and Guardians of the Galaxy. Also of note, the network which airs the game also gets an allotment of slots. Since the game is on Fox, there's always an outside chance that Dawn of the Planet of the Apes or X-Men: Days of Future Past will appear. Neither is confirmed.

The most anticipated one of that bunch has to be Transformers: Age of Extinction, simply because we've seen full trailers for all the others. Would you agree?
