New 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Images Feature Early Cap Costume And The Falcon
We've already seen a good set of images and some video from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and we'll see a lot more by the time the film is close to its April opening. The latest batch of images features some pretty familiar stuff, such as a couple shots of a brooding Cap. But there's also a good shot of Anthony Mackie as the Falcon, and that's definitely worth a look.
In addition to the shots, the LA Times talked to Chris Evans, who explained a bit about how he and Mackie's characters end up working together:
Meeting Mackie's character, he used to serve, now he works at the VA counseling guys who come home with PTSD — they connect on that level. I think they're both wounded warriors who don't bleed on other people. Cap has no one to bleed on. I think Mackie knows how to handle people like that. ... Sometimes when things are bad, trusting a stranger is the way to go.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4, and also stars Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández.
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy–the Winter Soldier.
