New 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Viral Post Teases Electro's Origin
Jamie Foxx's turn as Electro is undoubtedly at the center of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. At every turn early in the marketing, he, Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield have hinted Max Dillon's turn from meek Spider-Man fan to electric super-villain is what the movie is all about. And while we know something involving electricity occurs to Dillon to make him Electro (Comic-Con footage suggested eels?) we don't know exactly what that is yet.
A new post on The Daily Bugle viral site might now shine some light on Electro's origins. It hints at some kind of new "hydroelectric power plant" being built in New York by Oscorp. Also, the latest rumor of a subtitle for the film is The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro.
Here's the potential Electro link from the Daily Bugle Tumblr, an official viral site for the film.
Also, this was in Superhero Bits yesterday, but it ties in here nicely. Cinepop.br via Superhero Hype is reporting the title of Amazing Spider-Man 2, at least in Brazil, is The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro. A few weeks back, Sony had no comment on the report they were considering a subtitle for the film but this suggests they've at least decided on it in another territory.
Do you think the new plant is what changes Max Dillon? What do you think of that title?
