New Promo Images From 'The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug'
As the summer comes to a close we're going to be seeing the start of a big push for the December release of Peter Jackson's second Hobbit movie, subtitled The Desolation of Smaug. This is presumably where things really get good, because there's a dragon, and it is voiced (and acted, in some respect) by Benedict Cumberbatch. So that might be alright.
We'll have to wait a while before seeing what Smaug really looks like, in full, but a new promo image continues the series of partial reveals of the beast. There's also a shot of the film's cast of Dwarves as they traverse a river in barrels.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens in 2D, 3D, and HFR 3D on December 13.
The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
