Casting Bits: Mary Elizabeth Winstead In 'A.C.O.D.', Mila Kunis In 'Hell & Back', Taissa Farmiga In 'Bling Ring'

The cast of Stuart Zicherman's A.C.O.D. just keeps getting better. Mary Elizabeth Winstead has just joined Adam Scott, Richard Jenkins, and Jane Lynch in the comedy, which centers around around thirtysomething Carter (Scott). When his younger brother gets engaged, Carter must try and keep the peace between his long-divorced parents lest they ruin the wedding. Winstead is set to play Lauren Stinger, Carter's supportive longtime girlfriend.

Winstead drew raves at Sundance earlier this year for her turn in James Ponsoldt's Smashed, and has A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter due out later this year. [Deadline]

After the jump, Mila Kunis gets demonic, while Vera Farmiga's little sister goes on a crime spree.

Kunis will voice a half-human female demon who's considered one of the toughest in Hell. She recently wrapped Oz: The Great and Powerful and Ted. Hell & Back is shooting now. [Deadline]

Earlier this week, Sofia Coppola cast Emma Watson in The Bling Ring, and now Coppola's snapped up another young rising star. American Horror Story actress (and sister of Vera) Taissa Farmiga has signed on for the fact-based film, which revolves around a circle of So Cal teenagers who steal from the rich and famous. Farmiga's exact role hasn't been revealed; Variety describes her simply as a teenager who gets "involved."

But before Farmiga moves into The Bling Ring, she'll be shooting the indie James Boy with co-star Spencer Lofranco. Trevor White will direct the picture from his own script, which centers around a young man in a suburban street gang who gets sent to a maximum-security prison. Once there, he falls under the guidance of a convicted murderer. Farmiga is set to play the protagonist's love interest.
