Emma Stone To Deal Drugs In '30 Minutes Or Less' Writer's 'Little White Corvette'
Since breaking out in 2007's Superbad, Emma Stone has become one of the fastest-rising starlets in Hollywood. She held her own against acting heavyweights Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer in last summer's The Help, has a splashy superhero pic lined up in The Amazing Spider-Man, and will star as the female lead in her Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad. But she's been taking her time deciding on her next steps, with only next year's animated comedy The Croods scheduled beyond that.
That is, until now. Stone has just committed to star in and executive produce Little White Corvette, an action comedy from 30 Minutes or Less writer Michael Diliberti. More details after the jump.
The project marks Stone's first foray into producing. Diliberti is also slated to executive produce, with Scott Aversano, Graham King, and Tim Headington producing. Shooting on Little White Corvette is scheduled for a late summer start, so expect to hear news about who'll be helming the picture within the next few months.
Diliberti's only produced screenplay so far is 30 Minutes or Less, but he's clearly on his way up. GK Films' $1 million acquisition of Little White Corvette is only one of three recent deals he's made. His pitch The Big Sayonara was picked up by Fox as a possible directing vehicle for Crazy, Stupid, Love. helmers John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, while Warner Bros. bought an untitled pitch for producer Todd Philips.
