/Film LA: Attend Disney California Adventure And ElecTRONica For FREE

Disney is throwing together a meet-up at Disney California Adventure courtesy of their DisneyParks blog. On October 28, 2010, 3000 guests will be allowed free access to Disney California Adventure theme park at 4:00pm. At 8:00pm the park will close, but the meet-up guests will be allowed exclusive access to an after-hours ElecTRONica experience, which will run until 11 p.m (ElecTRONica normally runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays each week).

Guests will be granted the opportunity to come dressed in your best TRON or TRON-inspired costume at this special event (Disney usually has strict restrictions about park guests dressing in costume). The event will also include a signing opportunity (limited to 200 people) with screenwriters for TRON: Legacy, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Select props and concept art from TRON: Legacy will be on display and an exclusive commemorative Flynn's Arcade coin will be made just for attendees of this meet-up.

Find out how to attend, after the jump.

To be a part of the fun, RSVP to meetups@disney.go.com and follow these directions carefully as only 1500 RSVPs (each valid for 2 people) will be issued:

  • All guests who RSVP for the event must be 18 years or older, but your guest does not need to be 18.
  • Valid RSVPs must include 1) "ElecTRONica Meet-Up RSVP" in the subject line and 2) your name in the body of the email. All RSVPs will be for the person who responds plus one guest.
  • Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.

  • Emails will be sent to those who send their valid RSVP before they reach capacity to confirm their attendance for October 28. Depending on your email settings, you may not receive the confirmation email, so we recommend that you also check the list of attendees on the Disney Parks Blog. If you do not receive an email from Disney confirming your reservation and your name does not appear on the list of attendees, your RSVP was not accepted.
  • The event is subject to change or cancellation.
  • And you can always find out more information on the DisneyParks website. Good luck!
