First Look: Nicolas Cage And Nicole Kidman In 'Trespass'

Joel Schumacher's new film Trespass struggled a bit to get to the starting line. Nicholas Cage waffled between a couple different roles, making the casting process seem more complicated than normal at the outset. But the film, which co-stars Nicole Kidman, is filming now in Shreveport, Louisiana. And there's a first still of Cage and Kidman in danger. See it in full after the break. (The image isn't terribly large, hence the grainy enlargement above.)EW has the shot from the film, in which Kidman and Cage play a wealthy couple whose lakefront home is invaded by a group of criminals. Also in the film are Ben Mendelsohn (likely as the lead criminal), Dash Mihok, Liana Liberator, Cam Gigandet and Jordana Spiro.

The site also quotes Schumacher on the fact that Cage at one point wanted to play the leader of the criminal crew:

There are cross-connections between the family and the [criminals], and many secrets come out...I know Nic would have been brilliant as the bad guy, but I wanted him to play the hero. It went back and forth and finally ended up where it should be.
