First Look: January Jones As Emma Frost In 'X-Men: First Class'
NO PHOTOSX-Men: First Class is shooting now, and the first set photos have shown up online. They show January Jones in character as Emma Frost.
The pics come courtesy of INF Daily, and what is distinctly interesting about the snaps is that they show Jones in character walking around what seems to be an environment set during World War II. Given that the character is a telepath, my guess would be that she's seen here walking around in the memories of either Charles Xavier or Magneto, rather than in an actual WWII setting.
The franchise 'revival' synopsized:
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.
Matthew Vaughn directs, and alongside Jones in the cast are James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, Bill Bilner. X-Men: First Class opens on June 3, 2011.
