Movie Trailer #2: Tron Legacy

The Tron Legacy panel is going on in Hall H at Comic Con even as I write this. But even though most of you weren't able to see the eight minutes of new footage shown to the crowd on site at Comic Con, there's a new trailer for the film which you can see right now.

Yahoo has the trailer in HD, and I think you're definitely going to want to watch the highest-res version. Things kick off with a little real-world father/son interaction, setting up the core drama of the film.

But this trailer knows you want to see some of the tricks director Joseph Kosinski has in store, and it isn't stingy about throwing out images that make the film look like an ideal successor to the original film. And when the young version of Jeff Bridges shows up...yeah. Fun stuff.

Sam Flynn, the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant, father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Disney will release Tron Legacy in Disney Digital 3D on December 17th, 2010.
