Tron Legacy Details: IMAX, Jeff Bridges And High-Res Poster. Plus A New Soundtrack Leak?

It's been a big week for Tron Legacy news. Director Joseph Kosinski went on the record about a number of different elements in the film, there was a new poster (pictured above, and available in high-res below) and a possible leak of some of Daft Punk's score. All this with nearly a year to go before release.

Here are a few bullet points and thoughts on the info Kosinski revealed in an interview with MTV:

IMAX: Because the film was shot in digital 3D, no native IMAX footage was shot. But Kosinksi says "What I am considering doing now is finishing four or five sections of the film in a tall format — not letterbox — and in an IMAX theater, the black bars at the top and bottom of the frame will disappear and it will become a full-screen sequence."On the character(s) played by Jeff Bridges: The actor will be both Kevin Flynn and a version of Clu, the in-computer character Flynn once created for himself. Kosinski says of the latter, ""I'd say he's Clu 2. There was a Clu in the first film who looked like Jeff but was very simple in terms of his abilities. He's very stiff. Clu 2 is a second incarnation of Kevin's avatar. He doesn't only look like Jeff, but he can think like him too. So it's a whole new level of artificial intelligence."Finally, on the subject of Daft Punk and the score: "...the more we talked, we realized that creatively, we were totally synced up. I've been working on it with them for over a year and a half. I don't know of a movie where you're working on the soundtrack months before you start filming. The level of integration between the music and the film is incredibly strong."

There's also what purports to be one of the new Daft Punk tracks from the band's score, floating in a couple of spots on YouTube. I saw it yesterday, but turns out this track has been around since last fall. I'm not certain that it's legit, and have asked a couple of Disney sources who have yet to confirm or deny. It sounds a lot like the track we heard in Flynn's Arcade last summer at Comic Con, but there are already a lot of fakes and remixed tracks out there, so I'm looking forward to hearing the full, real score.

I can tell you that the art in this YouTube embed is not legit — it's pretty obviously the early fan-made poster combined with a couple other elements — but I like it anyway.
