Matt Damon And Paul Greengrass Return For More Bourne
Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass will be returning for a fourth film in the Bourne series.
The Bourne trilogy has made over $945 million worldwide at the box office (the last film, Ultimatum, responsible for $443 million of that total). The films are based on novels by Robert Ludlum, who passed away in 2001. Eric Van Lustbader has since written two sequels to Ludlum's Bourne series: The Bourne Legacy in 2004, and The Bourne Betrayal in 2007), both of which have received lukewarm reviews by readers. Hollywood might be better off creating their own story to continue the franchise.
Damon is already signed to star in Steven Soderberg's The Informant and is in talks to star in Clint Eastwood's The Human Factor, and with Greengrass busy prepping his Vietnam drama They Marched into Sunlight, it could be a couple years before they begin filming.
Discuss: With Bourne's arc complete in Ultimatium, a fourth film seems rather unnecessary. Knowing this, do you still want to see Bourne return to the big screen?
