New 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Posters

We're about six weeks out from the release of Paramount's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and that means the marketing barrage is about to move into it's most earnest mode. The first stage involves the reveal of new character posters for the four turtles. The first of four new TMNT character posters is out, featuring Leonardo, and we've got that below. [Update: all posters have been released, and added below.]

There's also a new trailer coming shortly, and we'll have that for you as soon as it hits.

TurtleReveal.com has been collecting tweet reactions all day, and will be revealing new posters as fans ask for them. (Or, more than likely, has a plan to roll out posters and then the new trailers no matter what characters are tweeted about.) Here's the first.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens on August 8. Jonathan Liebesman directed; Michael Bay produced. On the human side, Megan Fox stars as April O'Neil, with William Fichtner, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, and Whoopi Goldberg as Bernadette Thompson. Pete Ploszek did the mo-cap for Leonardo, who is voiced by Johnny Knoxville. Alan Ritchson is Raphael, Jeremy Howard is Donatello, and Noel Fisher is Michelangelo. Danny Woodburn did mo-cap for Splinter, who is voiced by Tony Shalhoub.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan.
