We’re still in the early stages of Marvel’s Phase Three — next week’s Doctor Strange is just the second film out of ten — but since Marvel is famous for mapping out its plans well ahead of time, it’s impossible not to wonder what’s coming in Phase Four. So let’s give into that temptation, and spend a bit of time speculating.

We know a whole lot of familiar faces will be returning for 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, and the list just keeps growing as more and more actors confirm their involvement. But one you can count out is Hope van Dyne, first introduced in Ant-Man. In an interview, Evangeline Lilly stated that the Wasp will not appear in Avengers: Infinity War. She will, however, report for Avengers 4 after that, due out in 2019.

We’re trying to tread carefully while writing about Captain America: Civil War. There’s plenty of story in the Marvel project that the trailers and TV spots have yet to spoil. If you’re excited for the film and want to know absolutely nothing else about the story until it hits theaters, then be careful what you read over the next few weeks.
While there aren’t any massive spoilers ahead, since this part of Captain America: Civil War has sadly already been revealed in various toys on shelves now, we do discuss a great action moment that you might want to wait and see for yourself. If you haven’t seen Ant-Man, the latest release from Marvel Studios, it’s worth heading out to theaters to catch. It’s a refreshingly contained story with the right amount of humor, charm and action. And as with any Marvel movie, there are some nice touches for fans of the comic books, including a credits scene that may be a direct response to the overwhelming fan demand for more female characters.
Speaking of female characters, one thing that Ant-Man could have used a little more of was The Wasp, the female counterpart to Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) original iteration of Ant-Man. We’ll likely get to see more of the character in future Marvel movies, but in the meantime, some concept are has surfaced showing off alternate costume designs for the characters.
