There’s not a lot to be joyful about this Christmas, but Disney+ will try to perk you up by fighting against that cynicism with a little magic. Coming to the streaming service in December is Godmothered, a new fantasy comedy in the same vein as Enchanted that finds Jillian Bell as a fairy godmother-in-training who sets out to prove that people still need fairy godmothers to make their dreams come true. But she has her work cut out for her when a lost letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress leads her to a 40-year old single mother (Isla Fisher) living a bit of an unfulfilling life. See how it plays out in the first Godmothered trailer below. Read More »

The onslaught of sequels won’t end with summer. Fall brings a whole new batch, including Bridget Jones’s Baby. Fifteen years after the first film, Bridget (Renée Zellweger) is a little older, a little wiser, but no less prone to getting into awkward scrapes. More specifically, she’s dealing with a surprise pregnancy and two potential fathers. In one corner, there’s Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), the former man of her dreams. In the other, there’s Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey), a charming American suitor.
Our gal is left to figure out which one is the biological father of her child — as well as which one she wants to be with happily ever after. Watch the Bridget Jones’s Baby trailer below.

Last we checked in with Bridget Jones in 2004’s The Edge of Reason, everyone’s favorite “wanton sex goddess” was getting engaged to the dreamy Mr Darcy (Colin Firth). In this fall’s Bridget Jones’s Diary, our girl, now in her 40s, finally seems to have it all: a great job, a handsome man, and even an adorable little bundle of joy on the way.
… Except that, in typical Bridget Jones fashion, the job’s a struggle, the handsome man is actually two handsome men, and she’s not quite sure which one is the father of that baby. Plus, her English accent seems kind of iffy — though that’s really Renee Zellweger‘s problem, not Bridget’s. Watch the first Bridget Jones’s Baby trailer after the jump. Read More »
