'Star Wars Episode VII' Actors Comment On Being Cast

The downside of being one of the actors recently revealed as a Star Wars Episode VII cast member is 20 months of repetition. While we'll surely learn more about the film and each actor's part in it leading up to the December 18, 2015 release, until then every one will be asked innumerable questions about the film. A few have already started answering, while others preemptively got the jump on the questions. Below, read the thoughts from new additions Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, John Boyega and returning actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels.

Most of the comments are via Twitter, but Gleeson appeared on a radio station in Ireland. His comments are below.

As for Gleeson, he appeared on the Dublin radio show 2FM and said the following (thanks to Comic Book Movie):

I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. It all happened really quickly for me. It was like the day before and then I'm at a table reading with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. It was madness but it was great.

I'm afraid if I say anything [about who I'm playing]  I'll give away the plot of the whole movie. I've got two years of this ahead of me. The movie is released in December 2015 — that's the amount of time I have to keep my mouth shut!

I think the last comment is the most interesting thing here. Without saying who he's playing, Gleeson reveals he plays a pivotal character. Could he potentially be a Skywalker spawn who turns to the Dark Side? What else could the role be that's so pivotal just saying who it is it would ruin the plot of the movie? Though, to be fair, revealing who anyone is playing outside of the returning characters pretty much would give us a ton of ammunition to discuss.

Whose response has been your favorite?
