Release News: Green Hornet Goes IMAX 3D, Last Airbender And Priest Get New Dates

We have a few release updates for upcoming movies:

Sony Pictures has announced that The Green Hornet will also be released in IMAX 3D, simultaneously with the 2D and 3D release of the movie on January 14th 2010. [thr]

Paramount Pictures has moved M Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender from Friday July 2nd to Thursday July 1st. The idea is that since it is a Thursday before July 4th weekend, the date will play like a holiday to the target demographic. Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens a day before on June 30th. [variety]

Scream Gems' Priest was originally scheduled to hit theaters this year, but the studio pushed it back to 2011 so that the movie could be converted into 3D. That date obviously couldn't be met, so the film is being delayed yet again, this time to May 13th 2011.
