Scoot McNairy Scoots On Over To The 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' Cast

At this point, it's safe to assume everyone is in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Every other day, a new cast member is announced, making this one of the most star-studded films of Tarantino's career. The latest Once Upon a Time in Hollywood cast addition: character actor Scoot McNairy, who has appeared in Gone Girl, Batman v Superman and the AMC series Halt and Catch Fire.

Welcome back to our weekly feature: Someone Just Joined The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Cast. Today's subject: Mr. Scoot McNairy, a wonderful character actor who always turns in a memorable performance, no matter how big or small. Deadline says McNairy "will play the role of a cowboy named Business Bob Gilbert," a character from a Western TV show.

This is likely the Western TV show that main character, washed-up TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), was once involved with. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a Pulp Fiction-like saga focused on several different storylines and characters all intermingling in Los Angeles throughout the summer of 1969. Lurking in the background of it all is the specter of Charles Manson and his murderous Manson Family.

McNairy will make a great addition to the cast, which already features some heavy-hitters. Let's take a look at all of them, shall we?

  • Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, a washed-up Western TV star struggling to stay relevant in Hollywood.
  • Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth, Rick's longtime friend and stunt-double.
  • Al Pacino as Rick Dalton's agent, Marvin Shwarz.
  • Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, the actress who was murdered by members of Charles Manson's cult. She also just happens to be Rick's next door neighbor in the film.
  • Burt Reynolds as George Spahn, the man who rented his ranch out to Manson. (Learn more about Spahn here.)
  • Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, and Michael Madsen, all in currently undisclosed supporting roles.
  • Timothy Olyphant, in an undisclosed role.
  • Damian Lewis as actor Steve McQueen.
  • Dakota Fanning as Manson Family disciple Squeaky Fromme, who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford.
  • Nicholas Hammond as actor and director Sam Wanamaker.
  • Emile Hirsch as Manson Family victim Jay Sebring.
  • Luke Perry as Scotty Lancer, who may or may not be based on a television actor of the same name.
  • Clifton Collins Jr. as a character named  Ernesto The Mexican Vaquero.
  • Keith Jefferson as Land Pirate Keith.
  • James Marsden in an undisclosed role.
  • Julia Butters in an undisclosed role.
  • Scoot McNairy as Business Bob Gilbert.
