First Official Photo: Jason Momoa As The New Conan The Barbarian

In May, some set photos from Marcus Nispel's new Conan the Barbarian movie leaked online, giving us our first look at Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis) in costume as the film's title character. Now Nu Boyana Film Studios has released the fist official production photo. Hit the jump to see the full thing.

Based on Robert E. Howard's mythical conqueror Conan the Barbarian, the new film adaptation is expected to be more faithful to the source material than the Arnold Schwarzenegger films. The movie tells the "tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village." Conan is scheduled to hit theaters in 2011.
