Bad Movies: The Dukes Of Hazzard: The Beginning Movie Trailer

In May, we warned you that Warner Bros was planning a direct to DVD prequel for The Dukes of Hazzard. Well it's finally here, check out the trailer.

The direct-to-DVD prequel titled The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning features none of the stars from the 2005 comedy. Instead we finally get to see how Bo and Luke as teenagers. I find it very sad that the movie is trying to sell itself of sex appeal and bad car stunts. And judging by the trailer, the movie is probably worse than you would think it could be.

Casting choices of mention: Christopher McDonald plays Boss Hogg. He also played Mr. Stifler in the direct to dvd release of American Pie 5: The Naked Mile. Boy, his career has gone downhill since Happy Gilmore. The hilarious Harland Williams plays Rosco P. Coltrane. It's too bad his humor never translates in movies. He always seems to get involved in the worst of the worst. His credits include: RocketMan, Freddy Got Fingered, Employee of the Month and Sorority Boys. And Daisy Duke is played by April Scott, a model from Deal or No Deal. In all fairness, she can probably act better than Jessica Simpson (but who can't).

But the American movie watching/renting public is for the most part stupid. How many people do you think will pick up this release thinking that it features the likes of Jessica Simpson, Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott?

The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning hits DVD shelves on March 20th 2007.
