Expertise
Movies, TV, Comics
Alli has an MFA in Fiction from the University of Central Florida, where she predominantly studied science fiction and steampunk (much to the consternation of her professors).
She's a regular panelist at DragonCon, contributing to discussions on the latest TV series, movies, and books to analyze pop culture.
Alli was a co-host on the now defunct podcast Wrong Opinions About Movies for six years, and is currently a contributing voice on the 42cast, a podcast devoted to fandom and geekiness.
Experience
As a writer and freelance editor from Central Florida, Alli's whole life has been steeped in the mysticism of pop culture. Alli has spent most of her professional years editing everything from math textbooks to science fiction. She's been sharing her thoughts on pop culture and fandom in podcasts, including the 42cast and Wrong Opinions About Movies; at conventions like DragonCon, where she's been a panelist yearly since 2006; and on her blog and Twitter. Her fiction work can be found in the 2011 anthology "Dreams of Steam II: Brass and Bolts" from Dark Oak Press.
Education
Alli has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fiction Writing from the University of Central Florida. While she is traditionally trained, she routinely submitted and applied her education to science fiction.
