New Star Wars Jedi books revealed

Lucasfilm recently announced two major book releases tied to the "Star Wars Jedi" game series. First, there's "Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars," a new novel by Sam Maggs that finds Order 66 survivor Cal Kestis leading the Mantis crew on an adventure set between "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" and the upcoming "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor." The book arrives March 7, 2023.

Secondly, Dark Horse's "The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" will chronicle the development of the game, collecting concept art and commentary by its creators in an oversized, full-color hardcover book. "The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" hits shelves May 2, 2023. Check out the official teaser for the highly-anticipated game below:

Marvel's upcoming Star Wars comics

In "Star Wars: Obi-Wan" #4, written by Christopher Cantwell and illustrated by Madibek Mesabekov, with a cover by Phil Noto, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker are selected for a secret mission during the Clone Wars. Check out for an exclusive preview of the upcoming comic, which hits shelves on August 31 and is available for pre-order now on ComiXology.

In other comics news, "Star Wars: Revelations," a special one-shot written by Marc Guggenheim, is set after "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" and follows Darth Vader as he seeks out The Eye of Webbish Bog on Mustafar, a spider-like being that was initially set to appear in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker." The one-shot, which arrives in November, will also touch on the next big comics crossover event, "Star Wars: Hidden Empire."

Star Wars podcast round-up

Blast Points Podcast's latest episode is all about National Public Radio's 1977 review of "Star Wars."

"In the summer of 1977, when the world had serious 'Star Wars' fever, noted film critic Tom Shales snuck out one of the most fascinating reviews of the original film on NPR. With just one viewing, he was able to make amazing observations about the film that people are still just catching up to almost 45 years later. Join us as we look at this wild and magical time and thoroughly analyze Tom's review line by line. What's spot on? What do we not quite agree with it? How does it make us look at the '77 'Star Wars' in new ways? PLUS: is 'Star Wars' the stoned movie you don't have to be stoned for?" Listen here.

Hosted by Gerry Cable and Scotty Jayro, The Bombadcast is all about positivity in the fandom and creating a connected community. In their most recent episode, the boys discuss the 1997 press event for the "The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition." Listen here.

On Talking Bay 94, host Brandon Wainerdi interviews the cast of "Andor," including Diego Luna, Genevieve O'Reilly, Kyle Soller, and Denise Gough.

"This is a very special episode of Talking Bay 94. A couple of weeks ago, thanks to Lucasfilm, we got to participate in roundtable interviews with the cast of the upcoming Disney+ series, 'Andor.' We got about 20 minutes each with Diego Luna, Genevieve O'Reilly, Kyle Soller, and Denise Gough." Listen here.

On Skytalkers, Charlotte and Caitlin discuss the themes of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

"With 'Andor' right around the corner, Caitlin and Charlotte revisit 2016's 'Rogue One' and talk about it through the lens of 3 different themes: Hate, Trust, and Redemption. In part one, we talk about hate, self-loathing, and righteous hatred. In part two, we talk about how trust has a domino-effect throughout the film and ultimately serves as the glue. Finally, in part three, we talk about how 'Rogue One' is a redemption story." Listen here.

Pink Milk is a podcast in which hosts (and husbands) Bryan and Tom talk "Star Wars" through a queer lens. They also had a chance to interview the cast of "Andor." Listen here.
