Here's Where You Can Stream Or Buy Every Season Of Community

(Welcome to Where to Watch, which provides a clear and simple answer to the question, "Hey, where can I watch this thing?")

"Community" is not only one of the best TV comedies of the century, it's also one of the most infinitely rewatchable. The increasingly meta antics of the Greendale Community College study group are endlessly funny and quotable, not to mention surprisingly heartfelt. The show aired from 2009 to 2015 alongside sitcoms like "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation," but never quite seemed to reach cultural ubiquity that those shows did. Thankfully, it's easily available for rewatch, so the cult of "Community" can continue to grow over time.

Viewers have been trying to figure out where to watch "Community" for about a decade now, as the show was constantly going through confusing sea changes even as it aired. Aside from firing and re-hiring showrunner Dan Harmon, the series also saw the departure of several major cast members throughout its run. In fact, "Community" was even canceled once. NBC ended the series after five seasons, but it was rescued and revived for a sixth and final season on a short-lived streaming service called Yahoo! Screen. Thanks to its rocky release history, "Community" hasn't always been easy to find online, but luckily, it's streaming all over the place these days.

Where You Can Stream Community

All six seasons of "Community" are currently available to stream in the U.S. on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. However, only one of these streaming sites, Amazon Prime, includes all 110 episodes of the series. Hulu and Netflix are both missing Season 2, Episode 14, titled "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons." The episode was removed from some streaming sites in June 2020 due to a scene in which Ben Chang (Ken Jeong) arrives for a Dungeons & Dragons session in a dark elf costume that, to some (including Yvette Nicole Brown's character, Shirley), looks suspiciously like Blackface.

Once you've decided whether or not this controversial "Community" episode is essential to your viewing journey, you can sit back and enjoy the rest of the show on any of these three streamers. First time viewers would benefit from starting at the beginning and watching the show quickly spiral out of control in the most rewarding way. If you're revisiting the series, classic episodes like multiverse-opening "Remedial Chaos Theory" or Law and Order spoof "Basic Lupine Urology" always hold up, and the series' holiday offerings are a complete delight.

Where You Can Buy Community

If you'd rather own "Community" forever than be subjected to the whims of streaming services, you're in for a treat. All six seasons of "Community" are now available in a box set on DVD or Blu-Ray from most major retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. While the box sets typically run from $39 to $54 depending on the format, Walmart also has multiple listings for a box set featuring a Greendale Community College Yearbook for $80-$88.

While physical media isn't for everyone, single-season DVDs of "Community" typically come with special features that make them worth seeking out. Particularly, the show has some of the funniest blooper reels to ever see the light of day. Trust us when we say it's worth the investment to see Donald Glover ad lib a half-dozen ridiculous lines with Danny Pudi while Pudi's character, Abed, is dressed as Batman.

If you're not ready to commit to a physical copy of the series, you can also buy it digitally on Apple TV+, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play, or even Redbox. Digital versions of each complete season range from $19.99 to $29.99, but we also won't blame you if you just buy all the paintball episodes.
