"Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas" is set to be released on The Roku Channel on Wednesday, December 1. Luckily, the streaming service provided by Roku will make the special movie free to view, so you won't need to pay for a subscription to watch it.

What Is Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas?

"Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas" is a holiday movie that will pick up after the events of "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" season 2. While NBC declined to pick up the show for a third season, Roku stepped in to give fans this movie that will hopefully offer some closure. At the very least, we're going to get some Christmas-themed musical numbers out of it. Roku also said when the movie was announced that it "is something anyone who wants to get into the holiday spirit will be able to enjoy." So those who haven't seen the show shouldn't feel left out.

Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas Director, Crew, and More

Series creator Austin Winsberg is writing the screenplay for the movie, in addition to serving as a producer. Richard Shepard, who directed the pilot for the series, is set to be in the director's chair this time around as well. Shepard also serves as a producer on the film. Choreographer Mandy Moore, who was a huge part of the show's success and even won an Emmy for her work, is also returning. Kim Tannenbaum, Eric Tannenbaum, Paul Feig, David Blackman, and Daniel Inkeles are on board as executive producers, with Dan Magnante, Jason Wang, and Mandy Moore serving as co-executive producers, and Michele Greco as producer.

Much of the core cast from the show will be returning for the movie. This includes Jane Levy, who will lead the way as Zoey.
