'The Last Jedi' Featurette Reveals Rey's Struggle With The Dark Side
The marketing for Star Wars: The Last Jedi did a pretty good job teasing that Daisy Ridley's Rey might turn to the Dark Side. Now, a new The Last Jedi featurette from the upcoming Blu-ray release further explores Rey's internal Dark Side struggle in the film.
Spoiler alert: Rey doesn't turn to the Dark Side in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Trailers did a fairly good job of trying to trick audiences into thinking the new Star Wars heroine would flip from Light to Dark, with Kylo Ren possibly turning good in the end. That's not what happened: Kylo embraced the Dark Side even more, and Rey began to accept her fate as the heir apparent to Luke Skywalker.
A new Last Jedi featurette, which will appear on the upcoming Blu-ray release this month, goes into Rey's struggle. Watch it below.

It's worth noting that this is clearly only part of the featurette. About 50 seconds worth. The Blu-ray release will have a longer version of this, but if you can't wait until then, this is a nice little teaser. The full featurette will "explore the mythology of the Force and why Rian Johnson chose to interpret its role in such a unique way."
At the start of the clip begins, Ridley says that what she loves about the character of Rey is that she tries to see the good in people. Rian Johnson then speaks (briefly) about the pull of the Dark Side, which he calls "the easy path."
And that's it! The end!
If you want more, you'll have to grab the Blu-ray release when it arrives March 27. Or, if you're impatient, you can get your hands on a digital copy March 13. A full list of features is below.
