VOTD: 'The Dark Knight Trilogy' Gets An Outstanding 'Scott Pilgrim Vs The World' Makeover
Movie mash-ups are a dime a dozen on the web, and sometimes even though they can be good fun, they bring together two movies that fit together pretty easily. But did you ever think that a mash-up of Christopher Nolan's gritty, grounded Dark Knight Trilogy and Edgar Wright's fantastical, energetic Scott Pilgrim vs the World would make the perfect combo?
The YouTube channel Inventor Headquarters has taken footage from all three films in The Dark Knight Trilogy and spiced them up by editing them in the style of the trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs the World, complete with little animated fighting effects and onomatopoeias. This could be the most fun thing you watch today.

What's impressive about this trailer is that it's a beat-for-beat remake of the full Scott Pilgrim vs the World trailer, right down to the same music and fully recreated title bumpers. Even more shocking is how the trailer is cut so well that it brings out even more humor from The Dark Knight Trilogy than was ever intended. If you need anymore evidence of how good this mash-up is, Edgar Wright even posted it to Twitter.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World is one of my favorite films from the previous decade, and I really wish it found more of an audience when it hit theaters. It was the perfect live-action adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel. If for some reason, you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and remedy that immediately.
