LOL: Rey's Vision In 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Gets Invaded By The Prequels
Perhaps the most intriguing part of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the vision that Rey (Daisy Ridley) has when she touches Luke Skywalker's lightsaber after the Force beckons her to it in the basement of Maz Kanata's castle. It raised many questions, most of which we still don't know the answer to. Hopefully that will change in Star Wars: Episode VIII.
But what if Rey's vision was less of a vision and more of a nightmare? Sure, the vision itself has some disorienting and terrifying moments for Rey herself, but what if it was a nightmare for the audience as well? That's exactly what one has done by having some of the more cringeworthy parts of the prequels invade the vision. It's pretty scary.

Here's the video remix from David Unger Music:
The inclusion of Jar Jar Binks is obvious, but it's the haunting echoes of horrible lines like "Yippee!" from young Jake Lloyd as Anakin Skywalker that are more unnerving than usual. Plus, the placement of that signature, melodramatic "Nooooo!" from Darth Vader in Revenge of the Sith is just perfect.
There might even be some details from the prequels that you've forgotten. Mainly, the fact that the Yoda puppet that was originally in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace was so bug-eyed and not really like Yoda is something that has gone to the wayside. This was a detail that was fixed by a replacement digital Yoda when The Phantom Menace hit Blu-Ray for the first time. It's probably one of the few changes made after the fact by George Lucas that's actually preferable.
