Watch The Fan Created Back To The Future Prequel Trailer '1.21 Gigawatts'
Last year, screenwriter Bob Gale and IDW teamed to create a new Back to the Future comic book series. Under the subtitle "Untold Tales and Alternate Timelines," it lets fans experience some of the events that happened off screen, or in alternate timelines. For example, in the first issue we find out how Doc Brown and Marty McFly first meet and learn about Doc's involvement in the super-secret Manhattan Project. Questions like "how did Marty and Doc meet" are so inconsequential to the main story of the franchise, but have captured fans' imaginations for the last thirty years.
Or here's another question: What actually happened with Doc Brown's shady dealings with the Libyan terrorist group? The answer is the subject of a new Back to the Future prequel fan edit trailer by Tyler Hopkins. Hit the jump to watch the Back to the Future Prequel Trailer: 1.21 Gigawatts.
Back to the Future Prequel Trailer: 1.21 Gigawatts
Combining clips from Back to the Future and a bunch of other films, Hopkins was able to bring this Back to the Future prequel to life in probably the most realistic form we'll ever see. However ridiculous as it might sound, the trailer is a fun watch at two and a half minutes. I particularly love the pinball shot near the end.
Tyler Hopkins created the 1.21 Gigawatts fan edit trailer using clips from: Back to the Future, My Favorite Martian, Camp Nowhere, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Dennis the Menace, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, The Sum of All Fears, Syriana, Iron Man, Dazed and Confused and Munich.
