VOTD: See The Biggest Blockbusters Of 2015 Recreated In LEGO Form
We've already done plenty of looking back at the year in film that was 2015. We've featured a variety of retrospective trailer mash-ups. Plus, Angie Han, Jacob Hall, Jack Giroux and myself all counted down our favorite movies of the year. And now we're looking forward to what's coming in 2016. But it couldn't hurt to take one more look back at last year, especially if it's with a video that takes the biggest blockbusters of 2015 and recreates them all in LEGO form.
Here's the 2015 Movies in LEGO supercut from Toscano Bricks (via Film School Rejects):
There's some impressive LEGO work done here. From the custom minifigures to the stop-motion animation, this is just a fantastic bit of fun. Easily the most impressive shot is that recreation of all of the Avengers jumping from left to right in the beginning of Avengers: Age of Ultron. But I think my favorite minifigure is the Doof Warrior from Mad Max: Fury Road featured above. I can't tell you how badly I want a Mad Max: Fury Road LEGO set now.
With all the movie- and TV-inspired LEGO sets out there now, from the Ghostbusters firehouse to the recently unveiled 1966 Batman Batcave, there's enough to create your own little entertainment brick world. Of course, you'll need plenty of extra cash in your wallet to afford it all. But if we weren't meant to spend out money on little tiny bricks that hurt like hell when you step on them, then what are we even doing here?
