LOL: Channing Tatum And Jimmy Fallon Perform 'Magic Mike' Scene Written By Kids
Magic Mike XXL isn't exactly what you'd call family-friendly entertainment, what with its gleaming lineup of gyrating male strippers and endless stream of Michael Scott-level innuendos. But last night, Jimmy Fallon figured out a pretty genius way to get kids in on the fun: Let them write their own Magic Mike movie, and make Channing Tatum act them out.

The premise is simple. Fallon got elementary school children to write scenes for Magic Mike based on nothing but the title, and then selected three bits for him and Tatum to perform on The Tonight Show.
Not surprisingly, the Kid Theater version of Magic Mike XXL is nothing like Magic Mike XXL at all. It involves a lot less grinding and a little more singing. Though Tatum does manage to put a disturbing amount of sexy suggestion into that first scene involving a bike pump. It plays like a scene from Logjammin' once he's done with it. And come to think of it, that bird bit looks to be headed in a more intimate direction before it left-turns into a song and dance routine.
But the kids do come up with some pretty genius bits, like what should be the franchise's new tagline: "I'm like regular Mike except magic." And who wouldn't want to see a movie in which Tatum plays Magic Mike, undercover king of the aliens?
Previously, Fallon looped Michael Keaton into a Kid Theater version of Birdman. You can watch that below:
The real, adult version of Magic Mike XXL is in theaters Wednesday, July 1. Gregory Jacobs directed and Tatum stars with Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Amber Heard, Stephen Boss, Andie MacDowell, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
