New 'Fury' Trailer Rolls Out The Tank Movie's Story
It's possible that most people only knew Fury as "that David Ayer tank movie with Brad Pitt." Which is probably enough, really. But if you want to know more of what's going on in the film before sitting down in the theater, this new Fury international trailer has you covered.
This trailer shows the difficulty a new gunner (Logan Lerman) has when the time comes to kill enemy soldiers, and follows the squad as it is tasked with preventing the advance of German soldiers. Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal co-star, and you'll see them in this trailer, too.
If the stuff above doesn't make it clear, this is a pretty story-oriented trailer. Those who want to go in relatively cold should only watch the first minute or so.
Some of the tracer bullet effects here are a little fantastic-looking, but the drama of the film looks pretty good. Without seeing this film in full I can see how some might think it's a bit difficult to separate Pitt's Inglourious Basterds character from this guy, but I assume the full film will give the actor plenty of room to create a tank commander who is sufficiently different from Lt. Aldo Raine.
Fury opens on October 17. Trailer via Sony UK.
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
