College Humor did a bunch of videos for Star Wars Day featuring famous musicians auditioning for the Cantina Band.
A rumored casting call has been making the rounds, originally posted on MovieCastingCall.org, for extras in Star Wars Episode VII. Some have questioned its validity but even if it's fake, it's pretty detailed and worth a read.
We're all pretty sure we're going to hear more actors cast in Star Wars Episode VII in the coming weeks and two names that are still being rumored are two names we thought for sure had been ruled out. The Epoch Times reports Zac Efron and Lupita Nyong'o are still up for potential roles, including Asajj Ventress for the latter.
This image from the Star Wars Instagram account, of Disney CEO Bob Iger and Chewbacca, is being touted as our first look at Chewbacca in Episode VII. There's no way to tell if that's true or not but, if it is, he hasn't aged much.
The wonderful Star Wars themed short film, George Lucas in Love, celebrates 15 years this year and is offering a special edition re-release on iTunes.
Empire has an extensive interview with Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars executive producer Dave Filoni. In it, he talks about keeping the two separate and also his knowledge of what's going on in the Star Wars movies. He was asked about the overall Star Wars canon:
I am aware of things that are going on all over the Star Wars galaxy. The same story team that is working on collaborating with the creatives on the feature collaborates with me, so I have a direct link to everything going on, which is incredibly exciting and incredibly stressful because of all the secrets that we now carry inside our astromech units. You know, I think it's important. I love working with creative teams that appreciate that and take the time to make it all happen, because you can imagine that it's a tremendous effort to have all these stories going on the whole time.
