Possible 'Terminator Genesis' Plot Details Revealed

Details on the Terminator Genesis plot are scarce. We know all the actors who've been cast in the 2015 reboot, the director, and the writers, yet how it all ties together remains a mystery. That mystery could slowly be unraveling, though, if we're to believe a new report.

Possible plot points from Terminator Genesis have leaked online and they describe the film as kind of a Back to the Future Part II of the series. According to the rumors, this new film will jump between, and interact with timelines of the first Terminator film, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and bounce even earlier than that, with Sarah Connor appearing as a child. Read some possible Terminator Genesis plot details below.

The rumored plot details come from Moviehole. Head there to read the full piece, but here are some highlights:

The 'Terminator' from the future will arrive on earth, attack some punks (keen to see who they get to play 'Bill Paxton'), and then slaughter his way through a bunch of Sarah Connors' – until he finds the correct target....And, of course, Kyle Reese (Courtney) volunteers to go back to 1984 and save Sarah – just as he did first time around. But don't expect everything to work out like it did in the original.. something is going to play out different.

And then, we'll also be taken back to the events of the sequel. The scene where the T-1000 (played by Robert Patrick in "Terminator 2 : Judgement Day"), posing as a cop, visiting John Connor's home, where he meets – and consequently kills – foster parents Todd (Xander Berkeley) and Janelle (Jenette Goldstein), is in there. As are several other key moments.

And then we'll be going back to moments we haven't seen on film before – such as scenes with young Sarah and her parents.

What's unclear about these rumored plot details are if footage from the James Cameron films will be used, reshot or something else. That worries me a bit, but the idea of all the other films having happened already, and wrapping time travel around them is kind of exciting and intriguing. What do you think?

Terminator: Genesis, written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, will be directed by Alan Taylor. It'll star Emelia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The release is scheduled for July 1, 2015.

Oh, and speaking of the big man himself, he spoke to The Arnold Fans about where the film is taking place:

We start filming in the middle or in the end of April and it will be a four or four-and-a-half month long shoot. "We will be filming it in New Orleans with some of it in San Francisco and maybe a little of it in LA but most of it will be done in New Orleans. I'm really looking forward to that because as you know, the last time when they did the Terminator, it was when I was Governor and so I couldn't be in that movie but now I'm back again and they are very excited about having me in the film ... The script is fantastic so I'm really looking forward to this film.
