Watch Jar Jar Binks Die In This 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace' Deleted Scene Fan-Edit

Almost 15 years have passed and we just can't get over Jar Jar Binks. The kid-friendly addition to Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace was a technological marvel when he first appeared in 1999, but his voice, antics and incredibly annoying luck quickly made him the most hated character in the Star Wars universe. Even though George Lucas himself cut the character back in the subsequent films (even going so far as blaming the entire creation of the Empire on him), fans still act like Jar Jar Binks was the only problem with the prequels.

Jokes about killing Jar Jar are about as old as the Internet itself but, this latest one is probably the best yet. A fan re-edited a deleted scene from The Phantom Menace in such a way that Jar Jar meets his untimely demise. Yousa check it out belowsa, okeeday?

Thanks to YouTube user withmorten2 (via Movies.com) for the clip. Here goes.

And here's the original scene, which is on the DVD.

A funny edit to be sure, but doesn't WithMorten2 – if that IS his real name –  realize what this scene actually does? It all but assures the total destruction of the universe! Killing Jar Jar means he won't be able to recruit the Gungan Army to help battle the evil Trade Federation, so Naboo is lost to Darth Sidious. Which means he'll gain control of the universe so quickly, Anakin Skywalker won't be able to train as a Jedi. Which means there's no Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia won't be born, and the Empire will rule forever! So I say, save Jar Jar! His survival ensures the original trilogy!

All kidding aside, did you laugh at this clip? Are you over any Jar Jar hate or will you never forgive?
