Superhero Bits: Batman Vs. Superman, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Ant-Man, Arrow, Iron Man, Agent Carter

What did Matt Damon have to say about buddy Ben Affleck being cast as Batman? Should Affleck consult Batman superfan Kevin Smith about the role? Will Ant-Man feel like an Edgar Wright movie? How has Joss Whedon grown from The Avengers to Avengers: Age of Ultron? In what way is Iron Man becoming more of a reality? Can the director of The Raid ever make a comic book movie? Read about all this and more in today's Superhero Bits.

The YMM Podcast got Bane to react to the Ben Affleck casting news.

The Times of India (via CBM) spoke to Matt Damon to get his reaction on Ben Affleck playing Batman. Also (shocker) he won't be playing Robin:

I think it will be great. It will be terrific. I know there are a lot of people grousing on the internet. I just think it's kind of funny. You know, he's not playing King Lear. It's Batman! Certainly within his skill set. If anybody saw Argo or The Town, and all the work he's been doing lately, it's way more nuanced and interesting and way more difficult than Batman! Batman just sits there with his cowl over his head and whispers in a kinda gruff voice at people. Bruce Wayne is the more challenging part of the role, and Ben will be great at that.

Arrow Season 2

The first poster for Arrow season 2 just debuted.

USA Today broke the Ben Affleck news to Morgan Freeman, who said the following:

This is the first I am hearing of it. My first reactions are 'Wow' and 'Good luck.' After the trilogy, I thought that no one would try it again for a few years more to let this whole thing die down, because it's still there. So I don't know, I hope Ben does well.

Bleeding Cool posted some interviews they did in regards to Agent Carter, the Marvel One Shot on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray.

Comic Book Movie has a link to a 2002 script for a Batman vs. Superman movie.

Joss Whedon stars in this latest TV spot for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Whedon also spoke to EW about what he learned from The Avengers that he's using in Avengers: Age of Ultron:

I want to be clearer about how I engage the audience, and where I take them. I want more control visually, more time to prep it. Not that I didn't dictate every shot – I did. But there's only so much you can do when you're making a summer film when the ball is already rolling as fast as it was when I got in. Why do it again if you can't do it better?

Thor Ice Trays

I'm kind of digging these Thor ice cube trays from Geek Alerts.

Edgar Wright told Cinema Blend he feels Ant-Man will feel like one of his movies:

To be honest, there are elements in that script that actually do continue themes from the other movies, an unlikely hero, a chance at redemption, and so, it's not something, it's going to be, it will be different, but I think it will still feel like one of my films.
