'The Man With The Iron Fists' Trailer: Bronze Lion Is Ready To Fight

I'm really curious about The Man With the Iron Fists, which is the martial-arts laden directorial effort from RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan. RZA is doing a promo tour for the soundtrack now, but Universal isn't showing the film yet. I don't know anyone who's seen it, which is pretty unusual for a film that opens in weeks. (November 2 is the release date.) One friend recently interviewed RZA and was told she couldn't see the film first because it isn't finished; RZA, however, told her it has been done since August.

So is Universal trying to reverse its plan employed for, say, Scott Pilgrim? Where instead of showing the movie to everyone possible, they're showing it to no one? Is it terrible? Or does the studio just not have much invested in the release? (Probably the last one.) There is certainly no shortage of soundtrack cuts available on the internet, but it's easy to drop a song here and there.

So until screenings start to take place, here's new trailer that shows off Jungle Villaige, the burg that RZA's character defends against encroaching trouble, and introduces one of the film's warriors, Bronze Lion, played by UFC middleweight and UFC Macao headliner Cung Le.

In addition to directing and starring, RZA co-wrote with Eli Roth. Russell Crowe plays Jack Knife, one of the bad guys, and other roles are played by Lucy LiuJamie ChungRick YuneDavid BautistaGrace HuangPam Grier, and Gordon Liu.

Making his debut as a big-screen director and leading man, RZA—alongside a stellar international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu—tells the epic story of warriors, assassins and a lone outsider hero in nineteenth-century China who must unite to destroy the clan traitor who would destroy them all.

Since his arrival in China's Jungle Village, the town's blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans' brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people.
