New 'The Campaign' Trailer: Courting The Crazy Vote
It isn't going to make things any better, but people could probably use a dose of comedy today. Personally, I'll take pictures of cats driving cars, videos of dance routines gone horribly wrong, and, should those fail, film footage of two men vainly lusting after political office.
The latter, at least, falls into the /Film purview, so here's a new trailer for The Campaign, in which Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis play rival political candidates who will seemingly do anything to win their competition. The panel for the film was one of the stranger ones at Comic Con last week (video of it is embedded below) and by comparison, this trailer seems pretty friendly and tame. But, in keeping with the grim news that saturates TV and online conversation this morning, friendly and tame is pretty nice.
This trailer isn't quite as explicit as the one showed at Comic Con, but it is a slightly cut-down version that gets the point across.
The Campaign is set for release on August 10, 2012. Here's the Comic Con panel:
