'Osombie: The Axis Of Evil Dead' Trailer - Kathryn Bigelow's Osama Bin Laden Movie Meets 'World War Z', B-Movie-Style

Kathryn Bigelow's untitled international thriller may be more likely to get all the awards, but Osombie: The Axis of Evil Dead definitely wins out in terms of sheer cheekiness. The low-budget thriller sees the terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden coming back in horrifying zombie form, as a team of NATO Special Forces race to stop him and the zombie apocalypse. The first trailer looks every bit as ridiculous as you might imagine from that premise, and I mean that in a good way. Watch it after the jump.

It's pretty clear from the warning shown in front of the trailer exactly what kind of movie we're in for, and the rest of the video totally delivers. There are plenty of explosions, copious amounts of violence, several shots of gratuitous male shirtlessness, and even a scantily clad couple making out on a beach for some reason. If B-movies are your thing, Osombie will probably be right up your alley.

Osombie is currently collecting donations through Kickstarter campaign to fund their post-production. Just $5 gets you Zombie Insurance, complete with an insurance card and everything. In these uncertain times, can you really afford not to donate?

Synopsis:

The story follows Dusty, a yoga instructor from Colorado, who is on a desperate rescue mission to save her crazy brother Derek, a conspiracy theorist who is convinced Osama Bin Laden is still alive, despite having been buried at sea. In Afghanistan, Dusty falls in with a team of NATO Special Forces on a secret assignment. Turns out Derek is not so crazy after all, and that Osama has returned from his watery grave and is making an army of zombie terrorists. When the group crashes headlong into the growing zombie apocalypse, Dusty and the troops must find and destroy the root of the zombie insurgency before it infests the rest of the world.
