Superhero Bits: Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America 2, Man Of Steel, Hulk

What does Guillermo Del Toro have to say about the Hulk TV show? Is Warner Bros. really developing a Superman/Batman movie again? Want to get a closer look at the Catwoman costume from The Dark Knight Rises? How about a new look at Bane and a new accident involving the Batwing? Curious to read what Rhys Ifans has to say about his character in The Amazing Spider-Man? And when can you stop worrying about Batman images from Pittsburgh? The Spider-Man body painted girl above wants you to read about all of this and more in today's Superhero Bits.

Scriptflags found this, and other, super close up, great images of Bane on the set of The Dark Knight Rises. This is from last weekend's shoot at Heinz Field.

In a report (filled with photos) of this weekend's Dark Knight Rises shoot, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette says the production gets two days off this week and then continues through August 21, when they're done in the city.

In the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, we see that Gary Oldman's Commissioner Gordon is in a hospital bed. Now, thanks to this video over on Comic Book Movie, we see some more of his work. Obviously, spoilers.

Speaking of The Dark Knight Rises, On Location Vacations report that sets are currently being built in Torrance, CA for the film. Pittsburgh isn't getting all of the fun. Southern California will get some too. And, according to Batman News, it'll then transition to New York sites like the NY Stock Exchange and the Queensboro Bridge.

You might remember VonToten's Spider-Man art from last week and now he's back, thanks to Deviant Art and Geek Tyrant, with this Avengers themed piece called "Avengers Ante Up."

Comic Book Movie has posted a slew of videos, including the one above, of Anne Hathaway's stunt double on the set of The Dark Knight Rises. Above you can ogle and analyze her suit more and, at that link, see more videos of her riding the Batpod and stuff.

Very cool Calvin & Hobbes Batman-inspired t-shirt from Shirtoid.

Topless Robot sure loves their lists and here's another good one: 11 Reasons the DC Relaunch Might Not Suck. One example? "Cutting the Dead Wood." Good point.

In what might be your best look at all the locations in one report yet, this news report (found via CBM) talks to Illinois locals about all the sets and madness around the Man of Steel shoot.

Another Batman-inspired t-shirt from Shirtoid, this one of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet too.

Maybe you heard, maybe you didn't but The Lizard, Rhys Ifans from The Amazing Spider-Man, got a little out of hand at Comic-Con this year. Thankfully, charges aren't being pressed, according to The Wrap.

Before that happened, though, Ifans did an interview with the Los Angeles Times about The Amazing Spider-Man experience. Here's a taste:

Curt Connors is by no stretch an evil villain. He's not like the Batman villains, like the Joker, who are the embodiment of evil. Curtis Connors is a great man who makes a bad decision.  That's the whole magic of the Spider-Man idea. These people are the embodiment of our flaws and our desires that lead to tragedy. Curt Connors is a man with one arm and he wants to grow his arm back. He has access to a science that can enable that. But he has to make a moral decision, an ethical decision, to achieve that.

Sideshow Collectibles has begun taking preorders for this insane Hot Toys Batman Begins 1:6 figure.

While outlets who officially visited the set of The Avengers remain under embargo, Yeah Movies just drove over there. They visited the Cleveland set that doubles as New York and instead of just posting photos (the destruction photos we've been posting all last week) they also wrote up a little something. Check it out.

Guillermo Del Toro sat down with MTV and offered an update to the Hulk TV series.

In the biggest "Yeah, right" rumor of the week, a site called Think McFly Think says Warner Bros. is "quietly developing" that Superman/Batman project again. Think, McFly, think.

You've (probably) seen XXX comic book porn movie parodies, but how about XXX comic books, period? Bleeding Cool has a glimpse at one for Spider-Man. More images there.

We put this a little lower than the rest of the Batman news just cause we're still trying to keep the Batwing a spoiler if people want to be surprised. Anyway, there was another minor accident while shooting The Dark Knight Rises when the vehicle broke into a sign. Nothing major, but interesting none the less. Thanks to Splash News.

Mr. Freeze makes an appearance in this new trailer (via Coming Soon) for Batman Arkham City.

Captain America: The First Avenger producer Stephen Broussard hinted to the NY Daily News (via CBM) that some part of either The Avengers or Captain America 2 (probably the latter) would take place in Steve Rogers' hometown of NYC:

There's great opportunity for that. Absolutely, there's more to explore there. It's a real place. That always helps people connect to these characters.

Is it weird that I'd rather have her save me than Peter Parker? Thanks to UniqueDaily for this Spider-Man body paint photo.

Captain America, oh, I'm sorry, "Captain Awesome," tried to deflect a firework with his shield in this video from The High Definite. It does not go well.

Earlier, one of our bits was about a rumored Batman/Superman movie. And while it'll most likely never actually get on the big screen, fans like Deviant Artist 89g (via Geek Tyrant) can still bring it to life.

Superhero Hype has posted the second trailer for the Batman-inspired download only first person shooter called Gotham City Imposters. It'll be out for XBox and PS3 next winter.
