LOL: The Onion News Network Interviews 'Fast Five' Screenwriter
This week will be saturated with press for Fast Five, Universal's latest entry in the car racing action franchise that the studio plans to stretch into infinity. But the best thing you're likely to see about the film is after the break: a video clip in which the hosts of Today Now! on the Onion News Network interview Fast Five (and Wanted) screenwriter Chris Morgan. He's not quite as... mature... as I thought he'd be.
This entire thing is gold as far as I'm concerned, from the description of the footage from Fast Five, to his proclamation about how many sequels Universal is planning, to the comments about Wanted. And even if you like the Fast and the Furious movies (I do, and am actually looking forward to seeing F5 tonight) you've got to laugh at the machinery that churns them out, and appreciate the fact that they're not actually meant to be taken seriously.
