New Photos: Franco As Ginsberg; Kristen Stewart The Stripper; More Harry Potter And Nightmare On Elm St.
With the announcement of the Sundance 2010 lineup, it's time to start seeing images from some of the invited films. Until now, for example, all we've seen of James Franco as poet Allen Ginsberg in Howl has been one photo released back in June. Now here's a new one, and it's very quintessential 'beat poet.' I like it, but really just want a trailer.
After the break, a shot of Kristen Stewart as a stripper, and new stuff from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Nightmare on Elm Street.
Welcome to the Rileys is another Sundance film, with James Gandolfini as a businessman who has some manner of encounter with a stripper, played by Kristen Stewart. The synopsis says "On a business trip to New Orleans, a damaged man seeks salvation by caring for a wayward young woman." The NYT has both this photo and the one from Howl, so thank them.
Meanwhile, there's also a new image from the next Harry Potter film. So far, we haven't seen much from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that is terribly exciting, but that's more or less how the teases for these films have gone. We get a photo of Harry alone (below) and one of the group so people can look at it like a weird auntie. "Look how much you've grown!" And when the trailer hits we see some crazy magic effects. So wait for the magic. In the meantime, here's Harry.
Finally, WB released a new official still from the new A Nightmare on Elm Street, but it's really just a screen grab from the first trailer. Which is all well and good, but when we can see the trailer in 1080p, I imagine anyone who really wanted this shot had it weeks ago.
